Pretty Music and Updates

Joey loves Sharon Van Etten's music. It is very pretty. I like this song in particular. I know Beth is a fan too. This is for you guys.

I know I didn't post much this week. It was not a big food week for me; actually it was more of a slow, take-out instead of cooking kind of week. Hey, it happens.

Electronically I gained a new (home) computer and lost my work comp (Tolva 'prophet of numbers' R.I.P). It's the circle of life you know?

Anyway, I will be back with more fun tidbits next week, so keep checking back here. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend and this song 'For You,' indeed.

Why Don't You...

1. Do like Beth and eat kale like salad. Just massage raw kale leaves with salt and olive oil. They keep well in the fridge prepared like this.

2. Add bacon to your chili like Joey does. Yum!

3. Saute mushrooms with chipotle chilies and eat them taco style like me.

4. Pan roast pork chops with green peppers and tomatoes like my mom.

5. Share some other ideas with the rest of us!

Sexy Stranger

Beth and I have a hip hop rap thing in the works. Our first single is "Sexy Stranger." We've got a tight chorus down and we're already thinking about who we'll ask to drop a verse for the remix. I don't want to spread rumors but Drake's name has been thrown around. Anyway, not to keep you guys totally in the dark, I wanted to give you a taste of the magic to come by sharing one of our main influences. If you want to collaborate on this project with some sick beats or words, or dance moves, LET ME KNOW. Also, if you have opinions on what we should name this thing, also LET ME KNOW.

Bye Bye to 275

Today PBG says goodbye to 275 Madison. We're moving into our own Suite on 38th and 8th. Woohoo! Moving. I'm waiting for everyone to get here so we can start taking out boxes. It's going to be a long day, but I'm excited. I like new beginnings like this, the kind where not much changes. When I moved into my own place in Memphis, I literally moved a block down the street from Bryan. Later when he moved into his own place he moved even closer to me, so we were only half a block from each other. Actually, there were a bunch of us who lived within a block of each other. It was nice to have friends so close. I really miss that about Memphis. I hope I eventually get something aproximating that in GP. I have Beth now and that's something!

Anyhow, back to the topic at hand. I wanted to post pictures of my office before we moved. I wanted to share my space with you guys because I always mention how I work alone in a room. Sounds terrible but it hasn't been all too bad. It seems pretty pointless now though, because I've taken everything down that kept it from being anonymous, so instead I'm sharing the view from my window. The woman you see is the lady that watched over me while I worked. My stone companion. Goodbye beautiful lady. Don't get too cold out there.

No Scrabble at Rosemary's Greenpoint Tavern

This weekend I met up with Beth for cheap drinks and some Scrabble. I suggested Rosemary's Tavern on Bedford because of their cheap and genormous styrafoam cups of Budwesir. For a while it was all good times. I was inching my way to victory sipping my beer when the proprietess of the establishment came to our table to inform us that games are not allowed at Rosemary's. This was sort of hillarious to us, but since we didn't want anyone else to get in trouble we tried to think up ways to keep others from committing our faux pas. Which do you like the best?
